(A review of Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity)Funny and cute... though I'm not sure this is something I would watch several times. Good for quite a few laughs though, and truly theb est part is the voices and affectations rather than the actual jokes. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Bring It On: In It To Win It (Full Screen) review

(A review of Bring It On: In It To Win It (Full Screen))If the last two sequels were cheesey, then this was ten times that. The music wasn't as good, the puns were more outrageous (and often off-colour), and this whole movie might as well have been a musical. The majority of the dialog was just one run-on cheer. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Against the Wall (Quality of Life) review

(A review of Against the Wall (Quality of Life))Though you can get the message that the movie is trying to send, it unfortunately does it without a lot of heart. Whether it was bad directing or bad acting, there seemed to be a lot of emotion missing from the movie and there wasn't any passion that came across on screen. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Roméo & Juliette review

(A review of Roméo & Juliette)The production itself was actually fabulous. Great music and great cast with superb sets and costumes. Unfortunately, I think seeing the musical itself live would have been far more preferable to watching the DVD. There were some added special effects or slow motion shots that you obviously wouldn't have gotten in the concert hall. That sort of took away from the magic of the acting and dancing, but since going to Paris to see the product wasn't so much an option, the DVD is an excellent choice. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
The Inheritance review

(A review of The Inheritance)Standard, romantic adaptation. I think every girl grows up hoping she's secretly the daughter of royalty or money! ;) 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Camp Slaughter review

(A review of Camp Slaughter)I generally have a high tolerance for bad horror movies, it's what I'm into... but even this one wasn't passable. A sumemr camp reliving the same day in 1981 over and over again?! And the plot wasn't even the worst part... the acting was. It was horrible and so were the sub-par "effects"; they overused the fake blood, even in places where there shouldn't even have been any. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Nicholas Nickleby review
Posted : 1 year, 1 month ago on 20 May 2007 01:33
(A review of Nicholas Nickleby)I really sweet (and sad) adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel. I'd say this movie is more of a gem for the wonderful performance by Christopher Plummer than anything else, though. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
John Tucker Must Die review

(A review of John Tucker Must Die)Very cute and funny... The movie had a great sense of humour for what can truly be painful for teenagers! 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Bring It On - All or Nothing (Widescreen Edition) review

(A review of Bring It On - All or Nothing (Widescreen Edition))They should have given up on this franchise after the first movie! It was quirky and fun, but the others have been just sad. This movie also lacked those really good medleys during the routines, which the other two movies had. They concentrated so much on the pop stuff for the rest of the soundtrack that the actual cheers had some played out film scores. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Stomp the Yard (Widescreen Edition) review
Posted : 1 year, 1 month ago on 18 May 2007 07:58
(A review of Stomp the Yard (Widescreen Edition))There are a few parts of this movie that are reminiscent of "You Got Served" but this movie does it with so much more class and theatrics. The plot's a little thing and tentative, but admittedly if you're watching this it's just for the stepping and battling. I absolutely love the way this was shot, interspersing slow motion with cameras wavering to the stomping and varying up the angles and perspective. I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed watching the choreography, but it was superbly done. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
