Movie reviews by VoxyZodiac review

(A review of Zodiac)This was far too long, and rather than a movie with a plot it seemed more like a recounting of "facts." It sort of feels to me, with all their little date timestamps, that they might as well have had a guy with a timeline on a whiteboard. He could have used a nice laser pointer and stated the same information as the movie without taking over two hours to do it. 1 comments, Reply to this entry
Airheads review

(A review of Airheads)Sometimes funny, but entirely too ridiculous. If anything, it's interesting to watch all these actors before they became big... Otherwise, just watch if you need to waste some time. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous review
Posted : 7 months, 3 weeks ago on 16 February 2008 09:39
(A review of Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous)Same charming character we grew to love in the first movie! And personally I Have to say how happy I am that the male character from the first movie doesn't return in this sequel. Aside from that, Sandra does her usual charming comedy bit. If you liked the first one, it's not hard to enjoy this one as well. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Mr. Bean's Vacation review

(A review of Mr. Bean's Vacation)Funny at some moments, and definitely all classic Mr. Bean gags. Unfortunately, it seems a large portion of the material was just recycled from episodes of the TV show. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Fracture review
Posted : 7 months, 4 weeks ago on 16 February 2008 10:16
(A review of Fracture)Interesting, but often slow. It's really not the kind of edge of your seat thriller/action that most people enjoy these days. Gosling is quite interesting, though, and you don't even really like him at the beginning. It was captivating to watch it all come together, but it was simplistic and easy to follow. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
This Film Is Not Yet Rated review
Posted : 7 months, 4 weeks ago on 16 February 2008 09:11
(A review of This Film Is Not Yet Rated)Though the idea behind the documentary is interesting, it's also incredibly biased. It's really created by someone who dislikes the MPAA and their ratings board, and is made for like-minded people. Still a lot of thought-provoking information behind it, but don't expect to see both sides of the story or much support for the ratings board. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Good Luck Chuck review
Posted : 8 months ago on 14 February 2008 07:16
(A review of Good Luck Chuck)This could have been funny... but instead was created some preteens obsessed with breasts and sex. Most people grow out of this stage, they don't hire a bunch of actors to relive it all in their thirties. It truly was disappointing in that respect, as I'm such a fan of Dane Cook. There were actually quite a few lines and actions here that resemble some of his stand-up comedy bits. But, really, I didn't need to see his ass that much, nor did I need to see the quasi-pornographic scenes. They just didn't add anything to the actual movie and just made everyone looks like idiots. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Eddie Murphy Raw review
Posted : 8 months ago on 14 February 2008 07:14
(A review of Eddie Murphy Raw)Funny... and classic Eddie Murphy, but I honestly believe the jokes don't really carry over into this era. Some of it is far too long-winded, but you get enough of a sense of Eddie's stand-up comedy character. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
D-War review
Posted : 8 months ago on 7 February 2008 06:11
(A review of D-War)It's the eternal debate: Did this movie suck because of bad acting, or bad directing? Who cares, it was just utterly ludicrous. Way too many unbelievable scenes and actions. It was like a mix of Transformers, King Kong, and Star Wars with some X-Files-inspired music sprinkled on top. Just pass on this one. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Death Proof review
Posted : 8 months, 1 week ago on 7 February 2008 01:39
(A review of Death Proof)Just Hysterical! It starts off so slow you start wondering when in the heck someone going to get shot or killed... just because you know this is the kind of movie it is. And then blam! It happens... It's so surprising... then it's over again. Like the beginning it slows down some more and starts all over again. Kurt Russell was both creepy as heck, and ridiculously hysterical. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
