(A review of Hurt No More)Utterly boring and predictable. Despite the subject matter, I really like the song "Don't Wanna Know" as a good groove song and to just sing along to. Unfortunately, the rest of the album made me wanna gag. I was literally bored with the songs, as if they were unfinished demos or rough cuts. The production left much to be desired, and frankly I just couldn't get into them. 1 comments, Reply to this entry
Get Behind Me Satan review

(A review of Get Behind Me Satan)After a couple of listens, I'm so far disappointed. It just doesn't seem to have the same power and ambition Elephant did. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Once More, with Feeling)Whether you're a fan of musicals or Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, this album is a hoot... Seriously, and I don't use the word "hoot" lightly... "They got the mustard out!" Just a fun and quirky addition to the whole Buffy phenomena 0 comments, Reply to this entry
American Idol Season 2: All Time Classic American Love Songs review

(A review of American Idol Season 2: All Time Classic American Love Songs)I wouldn't pay money (and I didn't) for the mediocre caliber and massive butchering of "classic" love songs. Gag me. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Punk Goes 80's review
Posted : 1 year, 3 months ago on 16 March 2007 09:06
(A review of Punk Goes 80's)I'm a sucker for 80's music and a fan of punk music.... Although not any award winning songs, it's certainly fun to listen to. Great covers: "I Ran" - Hidden in Plain View (originally by A Flock of Seagulls) "Don't Forget About Me" - Rufio (originally by Simple Minds) ... History has shown they're fantastic with cover songs, and this one's no different. "Straight Up" - Halifax (originally by Paula Abdul) ... This one is sure to get a chuckle "Power of Love" - The Early November (originally by Huey Lewis and the News) ... This will have you sitting up in your chair. A very different by interesting take on the song, slower and more melodic. Fantastic! Too Much Like the Original: "Wrapped Around Your Finger" - Brazil (originally by The Police) ... it seems to me the sing tried a little too hard to sound like Sting All in all, another great addition to the Punk Goes series 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Punk Goes Pop review

(A review of Punk Goes Pop)An incredible fun album for both punk and pop fans alike. Covering songs from artists like Britney Spears, *N Sync, Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore, Belinda Carlyle and others, these typically punk artists have created a some awesome tunes. Notable listens: "Like a Prayer" by Rufio, "Send me an Angel" by Thrice and "I'm Real" by the Starting Line Worth every penny! 0 comments, Reply to this entry
XXX review
Posted : 1 year, 3 months ago on 16 March 2007 09:05
(A review of XXX)Not a terrible soundtrack. Mostly, you can't beat the 2 discs for the price of one. The first disc has most of the harder-edged rock/nu-metal songs, and they're actually in the order they appear in the movie. The second disc has most of the softer rock songs and rap. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of Romy And Michele's High School Reunion / More Romy And Michele's High School Reunion)A sweet movie with a sweet soundtrack to the eighties. Generally filled with songs over-played but undoubtedly classics of their time. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
The Craft: Music From The Motion Picture review

(A review of The Craft: Music From The Motion Picture)Generally, quite pleasing to the year and a great mix of songs.... In all honesty, though, I bought this specifically for Our Lady Peace's cover of "Tomorrow Never Knows" 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Trapt review
Posted : 1 year, 3 months ago on 16 March 2007 09:03
(A review of Trapt)Take this album as is - another in the recent trends of radio-ready hard-screamo rock - but don't be ignorant about it. I was quite surprised at how much I found myself enjoying this album. It's one of those, that with repeated listening, grows on you immensely. Although the lyrics are not mind-blowing or overly-introspective, they do have a knack for making sense and allowing you to relate. In the growing pool of Hoobastank-like artists... Trapt stand their own. It's definitely worth a few listens and don't regret buying it one bit. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
