Take this album as is - another in the recent trends of radio-ready hard-screamo rock - but don't be ignorant about it.
I was quite surprised at how much I found myself enjoying this album. It's one of those, that with repeated listening, grows on you immensely. Although the lyrics are not mind-blowing or overly-introspective, they do have a knack for making sense and allowing you to relate.
In the growing pool of Hoobastank-like artists... Trapt stand their own. It's definitely worth a few listens and don't regret buying it one bit.
